Additional procedure for Fresh food export to China
Before exporting to China, the fresh food
Exporter and Importer must apply to CIQ for an "Quarantine
license for imported animals and plants" more than 3 months
in advance, Only after obtain the "Quarantine license for
imported animals and plants" , the fresh food can be
conduced quarantine process after arrive Chinese port;

Pre-market approval procedures
for Special food export to China
Special foods
mainly include infant formula food, functional health foods,
dietary supplements, foods for special medical purposes, pet
foods, GMOs food products, etc.;
In addition to complying with general food and risky food requirements for
manufacturers, such products also need to obtain Pre-market
approvals from different government departments before they
can be exported to China;

competent food authority of the Country of origin, then recommend to
GACC for registration, after GACC-CNCA review or Site-audit;
If qualified, the Overseas producers will be listed into the"List of
GACC-CNCA Qualified Overseas producers exporting to China", commonly
known as the "GACC-CNCA Whitelist"
This type GACC registration is very complicated, the application
documents requiements, time and cost are depend on the type of food
production facility, the cost is about
$5,000 to $30,000,
time usually need about 6 months to 1 year .
